Flowers are things of beauty and have long been the subject of artists in all manner of mediums.  Flowers have a natural beauty and perfection that you cannot help but admire.  You may be taking the picture just for your own memories or so you can share what you’ve seen with someone else but whatever your reason for taking the photo, it’s nice to take the best photo that you can.  You never know, if you get a really good one you could even have it printed up as a large canvas print and hang it up at home!

Taking Your Digital Products Into The Real World

Did you ever watch a film where things started off as live animation but then transitioned to cartoon when the lead protagonist jumped into the computer? This is the general basis for the film ‘Tron’ too, which has the hero zapped into a computer program where the world becomes CG and highly stylised. Being sucked into the computer is a dream we’ve all had at some point or other, and clearly a good basis for an action film, but unless you count VR it’s not something that’s ever really going to happen.

Reasons You Need A Spy Camera

Getting a spy camera seems like something only businesses and paranoid homeowners need, but you might be surprised about how having a tiny spy camera can help you in your day-to-day life as well as in special circumstances. There might be times where you need to keep an eye on your home and can’t afford to take time off of work to watch to make sure there aren’t any suspicious activities going on at your home. A better alternative would be to simply set up a spy camera.

Follow @ryderskull88

With thousands of models available in the market, camera shopping can be a daunting and challenging experience. Before buying any camera for whatever purpose, it is always important to do a thorough research and homework. Impulse buying does not apply to buying cameras; you will need to take your time to prepare yourself accordingly so as to boost your chances of ending up with the best model that will meet your camera needs perfectly.

Ensure you learn about the jargon used in cameras and photography field in general, ensure you know how to use a camera, and ensure you know exactly why you need the camera for you to be able to end up with the best possible camera for your needs. Here are some tips to get you started.

Talk to others – research shows that over 3/4s of American households have a camera. The best way to get started therefore when looking to buy a camera is to take advantage of the expertise and knowledge that others have already acquired and gained in this field. Family and friends can be a great source for learning some of the best camera brands in the market. While at it, you may also be able to know some of the best and most important features that you can utilize based on how you want to use the camera.

Camera Use – closely related to the above point, by knowing how you plan to use your digital camera, you can be able to know exactly what kind of camera to buy. Say for instance you are planning to take so many nature photos; you might want to look for a camera with a large zoom lens for the best possible shots. If on the other hand you plan to use your camera to take photos of family and friends and general family parties, you might want to get a model that performs exceptionally in low-lighting conditions.

Size and weight – this would largely be determined by how you plan to use your camera. Size and weight go hand in hand in that if you will be doing a lot of traveling with your camera, you want to get a portable and light that will make carrying it around easy. If on the other hand you plan to use the camera for recreation purposes, e.g. parties or vacations, you might want to get a pocket-sized model that would exude your sense of style.

Compare and Contrast – before you part with your hard-earned cash to buy a camera, you might want to compare and contrast comparable models to find the most suitable one based on your needs. Different manufacturers offer a wide range of options within the same price range, but each come with different unique features. By taking your time to compare and contrast, you will be able to know the best possible features at a price range that you can afford.

Budget – last but not least, you should set a budget for your new camera. Different models and brands come at different prices. Knowing how much you are willing to spend on a camera can always help you make an informed choice on your purchase.

Infographics: The People's Tech TakeOver

A digital camera (or digicam) is a camera that takes video or still photographs, or both, digitally by recording images via an electronic image sensor. It is the main device used in the field of digital photography. Most 21st century cameras are digital.Digital cameras are incorporated into many devices ranging from PDAs and mobile phones (called camera phones) to vehicles. The Hubble Space Telescope and other astronomical devices are essentially specialized digital cameras.

Digital cameras can do things film cameras cannot: displaying images on a screen immediately after they are recorded, storing thousands of images on a single small memory device, and deleting images to free storage space. The majority, including most compact cameras, can record moving video with sound as well as still photographs. Some can crop and stitch pictures and perform other elementary image editing. Some have a GPS receiver built in, and can produce Geo-tagged photographs.

With the Radio the news and information can now be heard and delivered a lot faster in your living room. All sort of show was born and a lot of widely popular singer was first marketed or heard thru the radio.

With the use of the radio, we can now hear song, commentaries, news and some other information that was using the radio at that particular time. Even with the coming of the television the radio was never totally replace but instead it continues to reach people where the television signal cannot reach or the actual gadgets or TV set is still beyond the reach of a buying capability of a person. While the radio is cheap and very light compare to the television which is for a tie is big and bulky.

Then came the world of visual where now the news anchor can be seen in person or the singer of the song as well can be seen not just heard. This is now possible with the development of the Television. At first it was all black and white then the explosion of color came thru our living room with the advent of colored television. Now we two of the most influential gadgets in our time the radio and television. Together hand and hand these two gadgets has become the bearer of information from it live point. The color television usher in a new era of programming for each type of show that can be televise.

We though what could be the next gadgets that would top these two, at first the most influential of them all was develop separately. This gadget was a result of the combination of the two gadgets mention above but also of several other gadgets that we have develop separately and is very useful to us individually. The first of these gadgets was the camera from its early days of black and white picture to using negative to develop the picture to instant picture via the Polaroid camera where we can take the picture and after a few minute here comes the picture no more waiting days, before we could see the result. Then from still camera the moving camera came where with these gadgets we can capture an activity where the gadgets records the whole event not just a single moment of it. Imagine seeing your younger self over and over again playing or doing what you really like back then. The camera was indeed very useful by itself.

How mobile phones can be used for spying

There's no question that mobile phones are truly useful gadgets, but did you know that they can be used for spying with relative ease? Since most modern cameras feature microphones and cameras, they already contain the electronics for pretty sophisticated surveillance, without the need to get any special gadgets or computers involved.

1) Spy phone bugs

Spy phones started appearing in early 2003, which were originally hardware-modified, and then software-modified Nokia 3310 mobile phones (the Nokia 3310 is shown here - looks primitive now doesn't it!?). When I started creating spy phones in 2003, I was doing both hardware and software changes. The changes were designed so that the phone appeared to be switched off, when in fact it was already switched on.

When you dialed the phone, it answered itself automatically without lighting up or vibrating, allowing you to hear what was going on around the phone! So basically they were listening devices, but you could call them up from anywhere in the world. Perfect for spying when you were away from the office or home.

2) Spy Cameras with a covert camera

Now we move on a few years to about 2008-2009, and now we have mobile phones that have embedded spy cameras inside them. The phone looks like a normal phone, but it has a pinhole spy camera concealed within the phone that points out from the top. So if the phone was laying naturally on the table, it could record what was going on opposite you. Since most cameras are on the face of the phone, they are not ideally designed for covert recording, as laying flat, they'd only see the table or ceiling.

Initially cameras were just transmitting (like the one pictured), but now you can get cameras that record to an internal memory card. These digital video recorders are much easier to use, and don't require a wireless camera receiver unlike the earlier models.

3) Spy cameras you can access by video call

Now we're on to technology that's been common from about 2010, and got really sophisticated in 2011. We're now seeing spy cameras that work on the 3G mobile phone networks, which you can access by doing a video call with the camera. So these work just like the original spy phones, but now with video.
Air Freshener Spy Camera

The actual camera is usually concealed within a clock, smoke alarm, PIR detector, air freshener, or similar. It features the electronics from a 3G mobile phone, but only activates when you call it from a pre-determined number. So a 3G-based spy camera gives you unlimited distance for spying with video. Very cool, but very scary!

So there you go, perhaps something you didn't know already, but some seriously impressive and powerful spying technology, all using a mobile phone!

This is a Guest Post by Dan Harrison.

Computer 101: Three Features to Consider when Choosing a Smartphone.

When I got my first Smartphone in 2007, a N70 Music Edition I was a very happy fellow. I quickly explored it and tinkered with all the features it cold offered from downloading free app to taking picture and video with it camera and playing games with it, listening to music via the built in radio and stored music on it, I was having fun with it. Since then the smart phone has evolve so much that today model is far more fun than it was back then. I say fun because one can do a lot with today’s Smartphone than way back then although it is only four years have gone by.

Today I reach the point of thinking of getting a new Smartphone to replace my old phone, although my old phone is still working fine, I’m thinking of getting a new model so that I have the more than with it compare than the first time. More application to tinkered with, bigger and more pictures, video to shoot and a whole of other stuff to do and play. Now I have selected three general feature of a Smartphone that I would look for in buying a new model to replace my old one.

The first general feature that my new smart phone would have is a big memory. This should not be a problem for most new phone today because most of them come with a standard 8, 16 or 32 gigabytes of internal memory. Why is this choice, well it simply means the bigger the memory the more application I can put in it. More pictures and video to snap off without worrying it going to be full. Also more music to put in and listen to, from the 80’s, 90, and the present of course, we’ll probably more from the time when I was a teen or in my twenties. I love to listen to that music over and over again because they bring me back to a special time of my life. That music always evokes nostalgic moment. Simply put it, I need my new Smart Phone to have to have a bigger memory than the current standard size of capacity.

The next feature I would like my new smart phone is to have a five mega pixel and up lens camera. Why is this important, well I like to take pictures of my family, friends, event and places that I do not have the time to see again. To have that special moment clearly photograph and store for me to view them again and again. Also more important is the moving images that i always take on special occasion with my family.  Special occasion with my family is very important to me. I like to go back to that moment again and again thru those video.

The third and certainly not the least that my new smart phone should have is it should great whenever I play music with it, you see I love listening to music, music from my early teen days. Those old music has been a part of my life ever since and it would be very much fun for me to listen them over and over again is a very nice sounding way. The output sound of a device is one contributing factor on how music would be likened by a person who would listen to them. The better the sounding the smart phone when I play my favorite music on it the better. To some this may be trivial things but hey this is how I like my new smart phone to have.
